SLCP Meet Up - Resilience Planning

Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM Eastern

How can and do libraries serve as catalysts for community resilience? SLI Co-Founder and Board President Rebekkah Smith Aldrich and incoming SLI Coordinator Rebecca T. Miller will kick off the convening by exploring what “resilience” means in this context, and tapping the findings from national research on the topic. Join us to discuss examples of how libraries can work to identify potential hazards and threats to our communities as well as how we can establish adaptation, mitigation, and recovery plans. There will be time for questions and discussion about other topics related to the SLI and/or the Sustainable Library Certification Program (SLCP)!
