SLI is sharing this opportunity from Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW) about Climate Preparedness Week 2025, a national initiative focused on climate education and community resilience. Taking place the last week of September, this week-long event brings together libraries, community groups, and organizations across the country to highlight the connections between climate change, personal and community well-being, and resilience.

This year’s theme, “Caring for the Earth, Yourself, and Your Community,” invites us to explore the deep interconnections between climate impacts and physical, emotional, and community health. From book discussions and workshops to pollinator plantings and emergency preparedness programs, there's something for everyone.

Interested in participating? Whether you have an idea for an event, a space to host one, or a network to share CPW programming with, CREW welcomes your involvement in making Climate Prep Week 2025 the most impactful yet.
