As part of their certification process, the Patchogue-Medford Library adopted a clear and detailed Sustainability Policy, created a staff Sustainability web portal with information and resources for staff and installed energy saving water heaters, light bulbs, and HVAC units. They developed recycling protocols to reduce waste and offered programming to the community that focused on sustainability.
