Congratulations to the Concord Free Public Library on being a certified sustainable library!

This week the Sustainable Libraries Initiaitve (SLI) will be making its third conference appearance in just over a month - This weeks kicks off with SLI staff exhibiting at the Massachusetts Library Association (MLA) this Monday and Tuesday, May 6 & 7.

Kinderhook Memorial Library has been certified sustainable through the Sustainable Library Certification Program. While on their journey, Kinderhook completed a wide array of remarkable accomplishments during their pursuance of certification.

ALA and SLI are seeking feedback from the field. This survey is intended for library leaders. The Working Group identifies library leaders as ALL library workers and trustees given each person's sphere of influence to make a difference on the topic of climate action. The survey should take 8-10 minutes to complete. It will remain open until Friday, April 5, 2024.

At this session we will introduce the draft strategy, discuss the opportunities and challenges for implementing the strategy, and invite attendees to provide feedback that will shape the final product scheduled to be released in June at ALA Annual in San Diego.
