The Sustainable Libraries Initiative is celebrating the certification of our second School Librarian, Paula Michalak. Paula is the District Librarian at the Silver Creek Central School District in Silver Lake, NY.

The  Sustainable Library Certification Program is now available nationwide! This program, originating in New York, is available to public libraries across the country. Our first outside of New York enrollment, San Diego County Library, has joined our Certification Program. Read more about why they joined in our press release.

Highland Public Library is certified!

The Sustainable Libraries Initiative is thrilled to announce that South Huntington Public Library is now Certified Sustainable!

ALA SustainRT is presenting a webinar with Longwood Public Library Director, Lisa Jacobs, who will discuss the steps that her library took to become certified and how the process expanded the sustainable decisions and actions that her library had already taken.
