SLI Advisory Board member Sarah Tribelhorn recently authored a post for the ARL Views blog, published by the Association of Research Libraries, one of SLI’s valued partner organizations. Her piece, The Vital Role of Sustainability in Academic Libraries, highlights the importance of integrating sustainable practices into academic library settings and the impact these efforts can have on institutions and communities.

SLI is sharing this opportunity from Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW) about Climate Preparedness Week 2025, a national initiative focused on climate education and community resilience. Taking place the last week of September, this week-long event brings together libraries, community groups, and organizations across the country to highlight the connections between climate change, personal and community well-being, and resilience.
